Method
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet. This will help the wings get crispy all around.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Toss until the wings are evenly coated with the seasonings.
- Step 3: Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
- Step 4: Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are crispy and golden brown.
- Step 5: Remove the wings from the oven and brush them generously with honey BBQ sauce.
- Step 6: Return the wings to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
- Step 7: Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
If you happen to have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can reheat them in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes to regain their crispiness.
