Ingredients
  

For the Cherry Garcia Fudge
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips providing rich chocolate flavor
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14 ounces
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract elevates the chocolate and cherry flavors
  • 1 cup maraschino cherries drained and chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans optional

  • Medium Saucepan

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving a slight overhang for easy removal later.
  2. Step 2: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the semisweet chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Step 3: Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Step 4: Fold in the chopped maraschino cherries and nuts (if using) until evenly distributed.
  5. Step 5: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  6. Step 6: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until the fudge is set.
  7. Step 7: Once set, lift the fudge out of the dish using the parchment paper overhang and cut into squares.
  8. Step 8: Store the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
