Method
- Step 1: In a large bowl, combine the Cherry Dr. Pepper, barbecue sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well. Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
- Step 2: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C).
- Step 3: Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing the excess to drip off. Place the chicken on the preheated grill. Grill for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
- Step 4: Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes. This helps retain the juices. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
- Step 5: Serve the Cherry Dr. Pepper Grilled Chicken with your favorite sides and enjoy!
Notes
If you have leftovers, store the chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can also freeze it for up to 3 months. Just make sure to label it with the date!
