Ingredients

For the Coleslaw
  • 1 small head green cabbage finely shredded
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions or parsley optional, for garnish

Equipment

  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Separate bowl

Method

  1. Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine the finely shredded cabbage and shredded carrots. Toss them together until evenly mixed.
  2. Step 2: In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth and well combined.
  3. Step 3: Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrot mixture. Toss everything together until the vegetables are thoroughly coated with the dressing.
  4. Step 4: Taste the coleslaw and adjust the seasoning with more salt, pepper, or sugar if needed. Don't be afraid to make it your own!
  5. Step 5: Cover the coleslaw and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
  6. Step 6: Before serving, give the coleslaw a quick stir and garnish with chopped green onions or parsley if desired.

Notes

To store your coleslaw, keep it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will stay fresh for about 3 to 5 days. Just give it a good stir before serving again!
