Method
- Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, granulated sugar, and salt. In a separate bowl, mix the warm milk, melted butter, and eggs. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Step 2: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Step 3: In a small bowl, mix the chopped strawberries, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
- Step 4: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle, about ¼ inch thick. Spread the softened butter over the surface of the dough.
- Step 5: Evenly sprinkle the strawberry mixture over the buttered dough.
- Step 6: Starting from one edge, tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch the seams to seal. Cut the log into 12 equal pieces.
- Step 7: Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Step 8: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Step 9: In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined. Adjust the consistency with milk if necessary.
- Step 10: Once the rolls are out of the oven, let them cool slightly before drizzling with the cream cheese frosting. Serve warm and enjoy!
