Ingredients

For the Pasta
  • 12 oz spaghetti or pasta of choice
  • 1 lb Italian sausage sliced
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 cup spinach chopped
For Garnish
  • Fresh parsley chopped
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Large Pot

Method

  1. Step 1: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Step 2: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced Italian sausage and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Step 4: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Pour this mixture into the skillet with the sausage.
  5. Step 5: Add the cherry tomatoes and spinach to the skillet, stirring to combine. Let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  6. Step 6: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Step 7: Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
