Ingredients

For the Steak Kabobs
  • 1 lb sirloin steak cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 bell peppers red and green
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil for marinating
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce adds umami flavor
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika for smokiness
  • Skewers

Equipment

  • Large Bowl
  • Grill
  • Skewers

Method

  1. Step 1: In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, black pepper, salt, and paprika. Add the cubed steak and toss to coat. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
  2. Step 2: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning while grilling.
  3. Step 3: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated steak, bell peppers, onion wedges, and cherry tomatoes onto the skewers, alternating between each ingredient.
  4. Step 4: Place the assembled skewers on the grill. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the steak reaches your desired level of doneness and the vegetables are tender.
  5. Step 5: Remove the kabobs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve warm with your choice of side dishes.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or on the grill.
