  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 4 cups cabbage, shredded
  • 1 each bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 each onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 4 cups cooked rice
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Step 1: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Step 2: Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Stir in the onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté until the vegetables are tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Step 4: Add the shredded cabbage and Cajun seasoning. Cook, stirring frequently, until the cabbage is wilted, about 5 minutes.
  5. Step 5: Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Step 6: Serve the stir-fry over cooked rice and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the spice level by adding more or less Cajun seasoning. This dish can be served with a side salad for extra freshness.
