Method

  1. Step 1: Place the two packages of beef Little Smokies in an even layer at the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. Step 2: Pour canned pineapple chunks along with all their juice evenly over the smokies.
  3. Step 3: Spoon the BBQ sauce over the top without mixing.
  4. Step 4: Sprinkle brown sugar, then drizzle soy sauce, and sprinkle garlic powder and onion powder evenly on top. Do not stir yet.
  5. Step 5: Cover and cook on LOW for 2.5 hours.
  6. Step 6: Carefully stir everything to coat the Little Smokies evenly in the sauce.
  7. Step 7: Serve warm using tongs, garnished with chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

Substitute turkey or pork smokies for a different flavor. Use fresh pineapple chunks with extra juice if preferred. Sweeten with honey or maple syrup instead of brown sugar. Add diced bell peppers or chopped cilantro before serving for extra color and freshness. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge up to 4 days or freeze up to 2 months. Reheat gently and stir to restore sauce consistency.
