  • 4 cups lettuce chopped into 1-inch ribbons, preferably romaine
  • 2 cups chicken breast cubed into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing halal-compliant or preferred brand
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese freshly shaved
  • 1/2 cup croutons lightly crushed
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pieces flour tortillas

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Season the cubed chicken breast with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss gently to coat evenly.
  2. Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine the seasoned chicken, chopped lettuce, Caesar dressing, shaved Parmesan, and crushed croutons. Toss well to coat everything evenly.
  3. Step 3: Heat a dry skillet over medium heat. Warm each flour tortilla for 15-30 seconds on each side until soft and pliable.
  4. Step 4: Lay a warm tortilla flat. Spoon an equal portion of the salad mixture onto the lower third of the tortilla, leaving about an inch from the edges. Fold the bottom over the filling, then the sides, and roll tightly away from you to seal.
  5. Step 5: Slice each wrap diagonally in half and serve immediately for best texture and freshness.

Notes

To keep wraps from getting soggy, avoid overdressing the salad and keep croutons separate until serving. Wrap tightly and store in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Try swapping in grilled shrimp, turkey breast, or tofu for the chicken, or use whole wheat or gluten-free tortillas as preferred.
