  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Equipment

  • 8x8-inch baking pan
  • Mixing Bowl

Method

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal later.
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until everything is well combined.
  3. Step 3: Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture, stirring until smooth and creamy.
  4. Step 4: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Step 5: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  6. Step 6: Fold in the chocolate chips, making sure they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  7. Step 7: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  8. Step 8: Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Step 9: Allow the bars to cool in the pan before cutting them into squares. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Once your bars are cool, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. You can also refrigerate them for longer freshness, or freeze them for up to three months. Just make sure to layer them with parchment paper to prevent sticking!
