- Step 1: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the chocolate chips, evaporated milk, and butter. Stir until melted and smooth.
- Step 2: Remove from heat and stir in the sweetened flaked coconut and chopped pecans. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.
- Step 3: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Step 4: Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated.
- Step 5: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly into the graham cracker crust.
- Step 6: Pour the cooled chocolate mixture over the cream cheese layer, spreading it evenly.
- Step 7: Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Step 8: Slice and serve chilled.
Notes
To keep your pie fresh, store it in the refrigerator, covered tightly. It should last for about 3 to 5 days. If you’re planning to make it ahead for a gathering, you can even make it a day or two in advance!
