Ingredients
  

For the Pie Filling
  • 1 box instant vanilla pudding mix 3.4 oz
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 tub whipped topping 8 oz, thawed
  • 1 box vanilla wafer cookies 10 oz
  • 4 ripe bananas sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon optional
For Garnish
  • Additional whipped topping optional
  • Sliced bananas optional
  • Crushed vanilla wafers optional

  • 9-inch Pie Dish

Method
 

  1. Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk. Whisk together for about 2 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  2. Step 2: Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping to the pudding mixture until fully combined. Add the vanilla extract and ground cinnamon, if using, and mix well.
  3. Step 3: In a 9-inch pie dish, start by placing a layer of vanilla wafer cookies on the bottom. Pour half of the pudding mixture over the cookies. Add a layer of sliced bananas on top of the pudding. Repeat the layers with the remaining cookies, pudding, and bananas.
  4. Step 4: Cover the pie with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set. For best results, chill overnight.
  5. Step 5: Before serving, garnish with additional whipped topping, sliced bananas, and crushed vanilla wafers if desired. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator covered with plastic wrap for about 3-4 days.
