- Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk. Whisk together for about 2 minutes until the mixture thickens.
- Step 2: Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping to the pudding mixture until fully combined. Add the vanilla extract and ground cinnamon, if using, and mix well.
- Step 3: In a 9-inch pie dish, start by placing a layer of vanilla wafer cookies on the bottom. Pour half of the pudding mixture over the cookies. Add a layer of sliced bananas on top of the pudding. Repeat the layers with the remaining cookies, pudding, and bananas.
- Step 4: Cover the pie with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set. For best results, chill overnight.
- Step 5: Before serving, garnish with additional whipped topping, sliced bananas, and crushed vanilla wafers if desired. Slice and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers in the refrigerator covered with plastic wrap for about 3-4 days.
