Ingredients
  

For the Maple Pecan Glaze
  • 4 fillets salmon fresh or frozen, thawed if frozen
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup the star of the glaze
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped provides crunch and nutty taste
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard for a tangy kick
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce adds depth and umami
  • 1 tbsp olive oil helps glaze stick
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced because garlic makes everything better!
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, and half of the chopped pecans. Mix well.
  3. Step 3: Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Step 4: Brush the glaze generously over each salmon fillet.
  5. Step 5: Sprinkle the remaining chopped pecans over the glazed salmon.
  6. Step 6: Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Step 7: Let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently but avoid drying it out!
