- Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine the baking soda and water until it forms a thick paste.
- Step 2: Slowly add the white vinegar to the mixture. Stir until well combined.
- Step 3: Divide the mixture into separate containers for each color of food coloring you plan to use.
- Step 4: Add drops of food coloring to each container and mix until desired colors are achieved.
- Step 5: Stir in 1 tablespoon of corn syrup to each mixture for added texture and shine.
- Step 6: Pour the colored mixtures into silicone molds or ice cube trays, filling them halfway.
- Step 7: Allow the stones to dry for 24 hours at room temperature.
- Step 8: Once dried, remove the stones from the molds and place them on paper towels to absorb excess moisture.
- Step 9: To activate the color-changing effect, expose the stones to warm water or sunlight.
Notes
Store in a cool, dry place. They should last quite a while if kept away from moisture.
