Jell-O Orange Creamsicle Cheesecake Cups

Ingredients
  

For the Crust

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted, helps bind the crust together.
For the Cheesecake Filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened, the creamy heart of the cheesecake filling.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar for that rich sweetness.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract a hint of warmth and flavor.
  • 1 cup whipped topping lightens and adds fluffiness to the filling.
  • 1/2 cup orange Jell-O mix the star ingredient that gives this dessert its vibrant flavor.
  • 1 cup boiling water to dissolve the Jell-O mix.
  • 1/2 cup cold water balances the temperature for mixing.
For Serving
  • additional whipped topping for serving and extra creaminess.
  • orange slices or zest for garnish, a fresh and pretty touch.

Method
 

  1. Step 1: In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of serving cups or glasses to form an even layer. Set aside.
  2. Step 2: In a mixing bowl, dissolve the orange Jell-O mix in boiling water, stirring until completely dissolved. Add the cold water and mix well. Let it cool slightly.
  3. Step 3: In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the whipped topping until well combined.
  4. Step 4: Once the Jell-O mixture has cooled but is not set, slowly fold in the cheesecake filling until fully incorporated.
  5. Step 5: Spoon the Jell-O cheesecake mixture over the crust layer in the cups, filling them about 3/4 full. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.
  6. Step 6: Before serving, top with additional whipped topping and garnish with orange slices or zest.

Notes

These delightful cups can be stored in the refrigerator. Just cover them with plastic wrap or a lid to keep them fresh. They should last about 3 to 4 days, but I doubt they will last that long once your family tries them!
