Ingredients

For the Egg Boil with Sausage
  • 4 large eggs fresh
  • 2 sausages sausage your favorite flavor—spicy, sweet, or herby
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Equipment

  • Medium Saucepan
  • Skillet
  • Ice Bath

Method

  1. Step 1: In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil. Carefully add the eggs and boil for 9-12 minutes, depending on your desired level of doneness. Once cooked, transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool.
  2. Step 2: While the eggs are cooling, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Remove the sausage casings and crumble the sausage into the skillet.
  3. Step 3: Cook the sausage for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
  4. Step 4: Once the eggs are cool, peel them and cut a small slit on the top of each egg to allow for seasoning.
  5. Step 5: In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle this mixture over the eggs for a flavorful kick.
  6. Step 6: Serve the eggs alongside the cooked sausage, garnished with fresh herbs if desired. Enjoy your cozy creation!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat the sausage in a skillet.
