Method
- Step 1: Pour 1 cup of 100% fruit juice into a small saucepan. Warm over medium-low heat until just warm to the touch, about 3 minutes, avoiding boiling.
- Step 2: Sprinkle 8 teaspoons of grass-fed gelatin evenly over the warm juice while whisking constantly to avoid clumps. Continue stirring until gelatin dissolves completely and mixture is clear or slightly opaque, about 2 minutes.
- Step 3: (Optional) Prepare fruit puree by blending whole fruit until smooth if desired. Pour the warm juice and gelatin mixture into the fruit puree and whisk until smooth without lumps.
- Step 4: Place silicone molds or an 8x8 glass pan on a baking sheet for stability. Pour the gummy mixture evenly into molds, filling each cavity without overfilling.
- Step 5: Place molds into the freezer for about 15 minutes to set the gummies firmly but retain chewiness.
- Step 6: Once set, gently remove gummies from molds. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Notes
You can swap honey with maple syrup for a vegan version. Add vitamin C powder or collagen peptides for a health boost. Experiment with different fruit juices or add-ins like nuts or vanilla extract for unique flavors. Store gummies in the fridge to keep them fresh and chewy.
