- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, breadcrumbs, and egg. Mix until well combined.
- Step 3: Shape the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
- Step 4: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the patties and brown them on both sides for about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Step 5: In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes evenly on the bottom.
- Step 6: Place the browned hamburger patties on top of the potatoes.
- Step 7: In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour the mixture evenly over the patties and potatoes.
- Step 8: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
- Step 9: Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
Feel free to prep the meat mixture a day in advance and store it in the fridge. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
