  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.75 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pastel-colored chocolate eggs or candy optional

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  4. Step 4: Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Step 5: Gradually mix in the flour mixture until just combined.
  6. Step 6: Fold in the chocolate chips and pastel-colored chocolate eggs or candy, if using.
  7. Step 7: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Step 8: Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Step 9: Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week. You can substitute chocolate chips with any other type of chips you prefer.
