Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese because who doesn’t love cheese?
  • 1/2 cup diced onion for a touch of sweetness.
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup ketchup a must for that classic taste.
  • 1 large egg helps bind everything together.
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce for an extra depth of flavor.
  • 1 tsp salt seasoning is key!
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper a little kick.
For the Topping
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots the crispy topping you’ll love!
  • to taste additional shredded cheddar cheese because you can never have too much cheese!

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, cheddar cheese, diced onion, minced garlic, ketchup, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until everything is well combined.
  3. Step 3: Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.
  4. Step 4: Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  5. Step 5: Carefully arrange the frozen tater tots on top of the meatloaf.
  6. Step 6: Sprinkle additional shredded cheddar cheese over the tater tots.
  7. Step 7: Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Step 8: Once done, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can also freeze slices for up to 2 months.
