Method
 

  1. Step 1: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir frequently until it turns golden brown and fragrant. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the brown butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Beat with an electric mixer until well blended.
  3. Step 3: Mix in the eggs one at a time, ensuring they are well incorporated. Then, add the vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
  4. Step 4: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Step 5: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Step 6: Gently fold in the crushed Oreos and chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
  7. Step 7: Cover and refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes to an hour.
  8. Step 8: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  9. Step 9: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  10. Step 10: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set.
