Method
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Step 3: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
- Step 4: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Step 5: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Step 6: Fold in the dark chocolate chunks, chopped bacon, and bourbon until evenly distributed.
- Step 7: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Step 8: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Step 9: Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Step 10: Serve warm or store in an airtight container for up to a week.
Notes
To keep your cookies fresh, store them in an airtight container at room temperature. They will last about a week, but trust me, they won't last that long! You can also freeze the dough for up to three months, ready to bake whenever the craving hits.
