Ingredients

For the Banana Pudding Tiramisu
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee cooled
  • 1/4 cup coffee liqueur optional
  • 2 ripe bananas sliced
  • 2 cups vanilla pudding
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 24 cookies ladyfinger
For Garnish
  • Cocoa powder
  • Fresh banana slices

Equipment

  • Shallow Dish
  • Mixing Bowl
  • 9x13 Inch Dish

Method

  1. Step 1: In a shallow dish, combine the brewed coffee and coffee liqueur (if using). Set aside to cool completely.
  2. Step 2: In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Be careful not to overwhip!
  3. Step 3: Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture for about 1-2 seconds. Lay them in a single layer at the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish. Spread half of the vanilla pudding over the ladyfingers, add a layer of banana slices, and spoon half of the whipped cream over the bananas.
  4. Step 4: Repeat the layers with another layer of dipped ladyfingers, followed by the remaining pudding, banana slices, and whipped cream.
  5. Step 5: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Step 6: Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and garnish with additional banana slices.

Notes

Make sure your coffee is completely cooled before dipping the ladyfingers. Store tightly covered in the fridge for about 2-3 days.
